Whats the buzz tell me whats a happening

October 1972 Jesus Christ Superstar was first performed. The craft barn asked for a bright calendar and thought of the Superstar logo and having just seen the production it was a must!!!

This is my calender with a page from the programme to show the logo I was referring too.

I added some bronze stamped wings to represent the old logo together with a crucifix charm for a bit of bling.

I also added lyrics from my favourite song from the show.

The Craft Barn calendar competition

The Craft Barn calendar competition

For my first page I made a comedy and tradegy page for January. The challenge was to incorporate vellum.

As you can see I have used vellum for the stage underneath the curtains. Under the vellum I used peel off star stickers so they had a dull effect to them whilst using the same peel offs on the curtains.

I'm hoping to base all of my calendar on musicals so I've just made the challenge even harder I think ha ha x

I'll add some clearer pictures soon but I've run out of time for this evening and it's a bit dark x

Comments appreciated...

Still here

Well it's been a few weeks since I last blogged.

I've been a busy bee at work and at home and haven't had much time for crafting :-(

I'm going to get straight back on it this evening whilst watching x-factor :-)

During the past two weeks I did have chance to make a necklace and bracelet set for a friend for her holidays. Would love to know what you think...

Shine

On Saturday I completed the Manchester Shine by walking 26.2 miles and let me tell you I'm paying for it now.

If you would like to donate to Cancer Research I would be most grateful www.justgiving.com/shine26mile

Dont Waste Dreams

I have always been interested in music and musicals but never had the confidence to pursue this. When I saw the mind over matter stamp at The Craft Barn on their recent porject I knew I had to get this stamp and relate it to confidence and my music ambition.

For this page I used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints: Autumn fire mixed with a little red & Inky Pool in misters. I used the follow your heart stamp and cut the heart from it adding peel off music related stickers for the centre. The treble clef design was made using peel offs which I chalked over and then peeled the sticker away.

This is the first art journal page I have made.

New stamp

Im loving my new stamp - it is waiting to find its way on a card along with the blue version Ive been colouring :-)
